AN EXCERPT FROM ABUNDANCE, CHAPTER 1
Never underestimate the power present
in the moment you exist in right now.
I smile toward the ducks, who pass on smiles to the
swans. The same breeze that moves the flowers moves
me. My feet touch the land that the geese have waddled
over. The same ground that bugs plant their roots into is a
firm foundation for my legs. We sink into things together.
We are not just our bodies or our souls. We are the souls
we touch. We are the land we walk over, holding many
secrets or truths in plain sight. Hooves, bug legs, fallen
leaves, roots, footprints of our ancestors–signs of memory for who will come.
I am grateful to be part of all of this.
